Privacy notice
Effective October 27, 2026
Hururuk is a pre-launch project by a small student startup team in Korea. Right now we are only measuring interest. This notice explains the little data we collect.
What we collect
- Your email address, only if you join the waitlist.
- Which series page you were on when you joined, so we know which stories people want.
- The genres you like and any ideas or requests you write, only if you choose to answer these optional questions when you join. Please don’t include personal details in your note.
- Anonymous usage events, such as which pages were opened and whether the episode or subscribe buttons were clicked. These do not include your name, email or location, and we do not use cookies for them.
Why we collect it
To email you once when Hururuk launches, with your free first month, and to decide which series to license first. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Where it is stored
Waitlist emails and anonymous usage events are stored by our hosting provider, Cloudflare. Cloudflare may store data outside your country. We do not share them with any analytics or advertising company.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist emails, along with any genres and notes you shared, until three months after launch, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If we decide not to launch, we delete them.
Your choices
Joining the waitlist is optional. You can ask us to see or delete your email at any time by writing to kaimjy@kaist.ac.kr. We will reply within 14 days.
